Liposuction

No matter how hard we try to diet and exercise, our bodies tend to hold onto fat stores in certain areas. Most often this fat accumulates in the hip and waist areas, causing love handles or saddle bags. Both men and women may experience this.

For people who have been unsuccessful in getting rid of stubborn fat stores by eating well and exercising, liposuction may be the answer. Liposuction actually removes unwanted fat and can therefore magnify the results of your hard work. In addition to be used in common problem areas such as the waist and hips, liposuction may be performed on the thighs, buttocks, abdomen, upper arms, back, inner knee, chin, neck. It may be performed alone or in conjunction with other procedures, such as a tummy tuck or breast lift in order to maximize results.

Liposuction is one of the most common plastic surgery procedures performed throughout the U.S.

Liposuction can produce amazing results. During the procedure, a special instrument called a cannula is used to extract fat from underneath the skin, removing it from the body. The surgeon will use this instrument to target the areas where fat has been stored by the body. Depending on the amount of fat and the areas the patient would like to target, liposuction may take anywhere from 1-3  hours.

Gentle Liposuction Procedure

Our focus is to deliver the best contour result with minimal discomfort during the procedure. Our “Gentle Lipo” technique allows us to perform most liposuction under local anesthesia and minimize the risk associated traditional liposuction under general anesthesia.

We also offer SmartLipo®, commonly referred to as laser lipo, during our Liposuction. The benefits of SmartLipo® are:

  • Minimal incision

  • Laser wavelength that target and remove fat cells

  • Coagulation of blood vessel to minimize bleeding and decrease bruising

  • Stimulates collagen retraction and skin tightening

  • Minimal downtime and quicker recovery

Many patients can return to work or normal activity the next day or within a few days after the surgery.
