Liposuction and mini tummy tuck under local anesthesia

Have you considered a tummy tuck procedure to help you tighten the skin around your abdomen? With a traditional tummy tuck, the procedure is performed under general anesthesia with longer post procedure recovery period.

At Bellavita Center, we now offer an innovative alternative to help tighten the lower abdomen with less downtime.  Liposuction is coupled with a mini tummy tuck to address the excess fat and loose skin around the trunk area.  The entire procedure is performed under local anesthesia and no post procedure drain tubes are required.

If you are interested in this procedure to help transform your body, please contact our office at (310) 861-7547 to schedule a consultation.

Mini tummy tucks tighten the stomach area between the belly button and pubic area.

When a patient requires a small amount of fat be removed from the abdomen, but not such a large amount as to require a full tummy tuck, a “mini” tummy tuck may be recommended by Dr. Hsu. A mini tummy tuck can combat loose skin and provide a slim and sculpted appearance to the lower abdomen.

Mini Tummy Tuck Procedure

During a mini tummy tuck procedure, an incision about 4 to 8 inches long will be made to your lower abdomen. This is about the length of the average C-section scar. In fact, if you’ve had a C-section, they’ll likely use the same incision for a mini tummy tuck, although it may be longer. Your belly button won’t be changed with a mini tummy tuck, whereas with a full abdominoplasty, it would change.

Compared to a traditional tummy tuck, you will see:

  • Less scarring

  • A firmer and more toned stomach

  • Shorter treatment time

  • Shorter recovery period

You’ll see some results immediately, but you’ll see the full results once the swelling goes down, around 6 weeks.
